Mockingbird by Chuck Wendig - Pre-order
I grabbed this book, and tore through it. I tried to put it away, but there's such wonderful tension that you really feel compelled to consume the next little bit. Sometime closer to the launch (end of August) I'll post a full review. For now, here are a handful my reactions as I went through it.
"Home? Really? Louis should know better."
"Wise ass kid. Good stuff."
"Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. What the hell? A song? A fucking song?"
"That school is fucked up. Lots of this is fucked up."
"Whoa. Shit, another one. Damn."
"People should just start cooperating."
"Wait. Is that a dream? No? Did that thing talk? No, okay. Or yes?"
"She's losing it. Hard."
"Damn. Just damn."
"Now, come on. Not that. Really?"
Of course, none of that really makes sense. Still, it's a damned fine book, and worth your time. Pre-order it so you won't have to wait.
Oh, and it's like over a year until the third book (currently titled The Cormorant) comes out. A year before i get to see what happens at the end of an ill-fated trip.
Fuck you, Wendig.
And thanks for the story.
