So, I submitted a story to ABNA this year. It's a YA Epic Fantasy story. I know, not exactly what you'd expect, but it's a genre I really love.
I found out today that I made it past the first round. Now, that's just based on the pitch. So, it could still be a good idea that I executed as crap. We'll find that out on 3/20, but for today it's a small success.
Even more nerve-wracking was that I had a print version created and gave it to my 10 y/o son. He's an avid reader and I'm pretty sure he'll tell me if he doesn't like it. So, I'm pretty interested in, and apprehensive about his response.
